Change in search console preferred domain

If you use the preferred domain setting in Google Search Console, we have an update for you!

Search Engine Journal reported, "Google is sunsetting the preferred domain setting in Search Console that allowed site owners to specify which URL to display in search results. Along with the deprecation of this setting, Google will no longer use any existing Search Console preferred domain configuration."

Instead, you can use rel=”canonical” link tag on HTML pages, a rel=”canonical” HTTP header, or a sitemap to accomplish the same thing.
